The conditions for using the portal, its downloads and the data API.

What the portal offers

Datalab Orgánico is an initiative of BioAudita and aGo lab. The portal offers indicators on organic agriculture in Chile with their methodological sheet, studies, the source register and the data API, built from public sources that each piece identifies. aGo lab is responsible for the data.

Use of the data

Each figure is published under the licence its sources allow, and each page and each indicator’s sheet state it together with the attribution: the source organisation, the capture date and the fingerprint of the source file. Anyone who reuses the data respects that licence and that attribution. Figures derived from sources of the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) do not allow commercial use, and their sheet says so.

Accuracy

Figures are published with their methodological sheet, which states their method and their limitations. Whether a certification is in force and whether a register is accurate are matters for the body that issues it and for those who declare to it. The laboratory answers for its own calculations and corrects its errors with a new version of the figure, which keeps the previous one. The data are provided with no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.

Independence

No figure, text or ordering on the portal favours a certification body, and bodies appear in the order set by each indicator’s method.

The API

The read API is public, asks for no key and limits the number of requests per minute. An institution that needs a higher quota may ask for a key, which is issued under a written agreement with aGo lab and can be revoked.

Attempting to identify a person from the published aggregates, or combining them with other sources for that purpose, is prohibited.

Changes

These terms carry a version and a date, and each change is published on this page with its new version.
